Ferry County Search and Rescue (SAR) is based in Ferry County, in the northeast corner of Washington state. The all-volunteer Search and Rescue Team is part of the Ferry County Sheriff's office and provides a critical service to all residents and visitors to Ferry County. Search and rescue is a life-saving skill that demands dedication, training, and specialized equipment. Approximately 30 members of the Ferry County Search and Rescue Team are trained in rural and wilderness environments and strive to be a well-prepared squad ready to respond...any time...any others may live.

How can I join SAR?

Men and women of the Ferry County Search and Rescue team are unpaid professionals willing to serve the community by providing a vital service. Each member is a volunteer skilled in rapid response rescue techniques, First Aid and CPR, and trained in using specialized rescue equipment.
